  • Outcome: Grasp the key challenges and strategies in urban freight planning.

SFTA 102: Freight Analytics

  • Instructor: Bilal Farooq & Mehdi Nourinejad
  • Date: January 29th, 2025
  • Brief description: Introducing techniques in freight analytics, demonstrated through practical case studies.
  • Outcome: Hands-on experience with analytical techniques to interpret and optimize freight operations.

SFTA 103: Freight Network Optimization

  • Instructor: Ramy Abdallah & Elkafi Hassini
  • Date: February 5th, 2025
  • Brief description: Illustrating the power of prescriptive modelling in designing supply chain networks.
  • Outcome: Design and configure an optimal supply chain network by utilizing optimization models and tools to move goods in a timely and efficient manner.

SFTA 104: Freight Environmental Impacts

  • Instructor: Marianne Hatzopoulou & Carolyn Kim
  • Date: February 12th, 2025
  • Brief description: Introducing key public policies to reduce transportation and freight-related greenhouse gas emissions, and benchmark Canada’s policy approach with other countries.
  • Outcome: Understanding the fundamentals of electric vehicle (EV) energy consumption and its implications on transportation and the environment.
