Partnership Opportunities

The Region of Peel invested $240,000 in seed funding annually for the first five years of establishing the Smart Freight Centre.

McMaster University, the University of Toronto, and York University matched these funds with cash and in-kind contributions, including access to computing labs, offices, support services, and faculty and staff salaries.

Toronto Metropolitan University and the University of Waterloo joined the SFC later.

Moreover, the sustained engagement of all SFC universities reflects the shared vision that underpins the Centre’s ongoing success.

The SFC is seeking government and industry partners’ cash contributions to build the Centre into a regional asset.
